The lower region of the Kennebec River passes through 3 counties (Kennebec, Lincoln and Sagadahoc) with a combined population of over 192,000. As more people flock to the Kennebec and to communities north and south of Augusta, they are able to witness first hand what a beautiful natural resource the river is and the potential that exists for living, working, recreating and vacationing in the local communities. Once people see the area, and can experience the “local flavor” of the Augusta region, we are convinced they will return again and again.
